August 29 - Navigating Teen Mental Wellness

Presented by Oksana Atwood – Community Facilitator – Riseup Society Edmonton.
This presentation explores practical strategies for teens, combating stigma, using social media mindfully and prioritizing self-care.  

September 5 - Foundations For Balance

Presented by Kim Silverthorn BA, RPC, MPCC, CT – Therapist – Tacit Knowledge.
This session will teach participants about the 4 key aspects of daily life that create a foundation for healthy mental wellness overall - about how the stress hormone cortisol can easily get overproduced (and the signs to watch for) - about 4 ways to dump excess cortisol when tough times are happening in life (so you don't feel as stressed) - and about ways to boost happy hormones, to help prevent excess cortisol from developing and to enhance mental wellness. 

September 12 - Building Bridges: Nurturing Healthy Relationships for Mental Well-being

Presentation By Karley Spelrem (Youth Outreach Worker, FCSS Leduc) and Jenna Weir (Youth Coordinator, BGC Leduc).
Explore how positive relationships and support networks contribute to mental health. Learn practical tools to cultivate healthy friendships and supportive connections.
